My grandma. The wonderful woman who helped my mother through her years as a single mom. She was my one and only babysitter I can ever remember having growing up. She was ALWAYS at all the school plays, band recitals, tumbling performances, practically every achievement and accomplishment in my life, she was there rooting me on and supporting me. Playing "Mother May I?", and the card game "Rummy," showing me all the delicacies of nature on walks through the neighborhood, giving me manicures at the ripe age of 7...she was a spectacular person. At times like this it's such blessing to know what happens when we die. The church provides such solace and peace. 2 weeks ago she passed away, but everything she taught me remains. Love of family and loyalty, togetherness, sacrifice, patience, she was the ultimate.
