Pumpkin Patch...and previous posting disclaimer

The leaves are starting to change and the weather is getting that nice crisp chilly air feeling. Autumn has come so what did we do? We visited a pumpkin patch of course! It was on Sauvie Island. We went with our buddies Tiffany, Chad, Bekah, and Christopher Hewlett, and Chad, Amber, and Sammy Woolner. There was an animal barn (kind of ho hum) that had llama's (I told Bo, "Say, hi llama!" to which he replied "Hi Momma!") ducks, sheep, and chickens. It would've been more fun if it was a petting zoo, but I guess ya get what you pay for. ( Going into the barn was free) We took a hay ride where they dropped us off at a pumpkin patch where Darnell had to find a pumpkin that was just right. He was a lot more critical than the kids. They would've been fine with a half moldy one. His criteria was good color, a non rotted stem, and sit sturdy on the ground. Afterwards we took some pictures, the kids played on a hay pyramid. Ky begged and pleaded to take a ride on a cow train which consisted of a small vehicle in front pulling behind it little train-like replicas of rusty and rickety wooden cows. $2 just didn't seem worth it. Then we walked through the farmers market where we saw gigantic heads of cabbage, they were about 3 times the size of a human head, and bundles of brussel sprouts. How many of you have ever seen how a brussel sprout grows? Very interesting. We ate a candy apple, and then drove to Sunny Han's Chinese restaurant for dinner. That place fills me with much happiness I must say. It was such a great way to spend an evening with all of our friends before we leave! We'll miss you Woolners and Hewletts!p.s. Some dirty minded friends of mine pointedly informed me that the picture of Darnell with the balloons looks a bit questionable if ya know what I'm saying. For the record, none of us even thought that, and it definetly was not intended. Tiffany and Kadee, you sickos! hee hee.
